Thomas Schested
Thomas established the Danish Cultural Institute in Delhi in 2019 and is recognized as an expert on Indian matters.
Thomas has published more than 100 articles on India’s political, economic, and cultural landscape and advised more than 30 Indian companies on brand strategy when positioning in India.
He served on the board of the Danish-Indian Chamber of Commerce, from 2018 to 2024. Since 2024 Thomas has spearheaded the business development platform Next Step India driven by the Association of Danish Industry, supporting Danish SMEs and start-ups in accessing and scaling in the Indian market.
Thomas lives in Copenhagen most of the year and in Goa three months every year.
